Like many of you, I paid no attention to the Academy Awards show because it’s boring.  Three hours of predictable displays.  Why would I watch something like that?

Also, I didn’t see any of the nominated films.  I tried to watch “One Battle After Another” but couldn’t get through it.  I guess it was a left-wing exposition cheering on pro-illegal immigration and abortion zealots.  I see that every day in my work. Now, I have to watch it in my downtime?

Geez.

Sean Penn won best supporting actor in the movie, but he didn’t show up to get the award.  Did anyone miss him?

The Motion Picture people have ordered that every movie submitted for award consideration have a bunch of minority performers and a plotline focused on an “underrepresented group.”  That’s so noble!  Jamie Lee Curtis is delirious with joy.

I am singling out the actress because she is the classic Hollywood person.  The daughter of actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, she’s a nepo person with talent. And she’s very woke!   Concerned with diversity and inclusion.   She believes President Trump is trying to destroy those things.  He’s worse than that Michael Myers guy who chased Jamie around with a knife.  Not sure what minority he represented.  Maybe serial killers?

Anyway, the movie industry is far too confusing for your humble correspondent. I think The Godfather I and II were the best films ever, with Patton close behind.

Those films probably couldn’t get made today.  Unless Don Corleone was a cross-dresser.
