Even after President Trump issued an Executive Order allowing migrant adults with children to stay together after apprehension on the border, the hate-Trump press continued to hammer the President in deeply personal ways.

No surprise.

It appears to me that Mr. Trump and his advisors, and I do not know who they are at the moment, are calculating that all the illegal alien chaos is a winning issue for them.

In Europe, many people have turned against liberal leaders like German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who support open borders.  Great Britain voted to leave the EU over the issue and even Italy is saying no to the influx of migrants.  Austria has cracked down hard on immigration and France now makes it very difficult for foreigners to take up residence.

Here in the USA, the battle over undocumented immigrants is raging. The Democratic Party and the national media clearly are not concerned about millions of aliens entering the country illegally.  In fact, those groups embrace lax immigration law enforcement.

President Trump believes his tough stance on illegal immigration will lead to votes. So, he is likely to get even tougher on the issue in the run up to the 2020 election.

Yes, he will run barring an unforeseen circumstance.
