The El-Sayed Situation
The El-Sayed Situation
Barack Obama will campaign with Michigan Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed on October 24. That is a mistake for the former president and his legacy.

People claim the Democratic Party isn’t embracing socialism. Well, here’s who is backing El-Sayed: Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Zohran Mamdani, Gavin Newsom, and Chuck Schumer.

That’s pretty much the whole party. So, don’t tell me they aren’t endorsing socialism and
antisemitism, because El-Sayed does not like Jews.

A recent Marist Polling survey finds the Democrat leading Republican Mike Rogers, 45 percent to 41 percent. 6 percent are undecided.

President Obama’s visit may sway some of these folks. He won Michigan by 17 points in 2008, then 10 points in 2012…

A similar situation is unfolding in Texas. The dangerous progressive James Talarico is ahead of Ken Paxton by three points.

Mr. Obama lost 22 seats in his final midterm election: 13 in the House and nine in the Senate.

The Republicans may experience a similar fate this November. But it’s still too early to predict. A lot can change before the November vote.
