Bill & Beck on the Star-Spangled Banner Controversy; Trump to Reverse some Agreements with Cuba

THE CALIFORNIA NAACP THINKS THE STAR- SPANGLED BANNER IS RACIST

Beck brings up the big story of the day which is also a very important story to Bill. The California NAACP is demanding that that Star-Spangled Banner be jettisoned as the National Anthem because it’s racist. The NAACP is a powerful organization that spreads across the country, it’s not some grassroots organization and their organization is trying to say that our country is represented by a racist song and it needs to go, but that is a lie!

The line that the NAACP objects to in the Star-Spangled Banner is in the third stanza. It says,

“No refuge could save the hireling and slave,

From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave.”

When the song was written in 1814 slavery was very present in America, so the stanza is accurate, it’s basically criticizing the situation. However, the Anti-American activists have turned it around and said this is another example of how America is a racist country, which is what they want the world to believe.

Beck brings up the fifth stanza that was written in 1862,

“If a foe from within strike a blow at her glory,
Down, down, with the traitor that dares to defile
The flag of her stars and the page of her story!
By the millions unchain'd who our birthright have gained
We will keep her bright blazon forever unstained!
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
While the land of the free is the home of the brave”

That is clearly a pro-abolitionist stanza. This stanza reverses everything that the Anti-American activists are saying.

Bill says that this is a growing movement to demonize the United States of America. When you have the NAACP of California coming out and basically lying saying that our National Anthem is racist, giving refuge to people who want to disrespect the anthem and the flag it shows that we have a serious situation happening in America. The problem is that it’s not being confronted in any meaningful way and certainly not by the media.

If people in leadership positions don’t begin to stand up we’re going to see the demise of our country’s history. There are only a few of us, including you Beck, that are speaking out against this stuff and the mainstream media is sugar coating it and in some cases promoting it! But, if you go against any of this, you are labeled as a racist.

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION TO REVERSE SOME AGREEMENTS WITH CUBA

Beck also brings up how yesterday the Trump Administration plans to reverse some of their agreements with Cuba which President Obama did because they have a very different stance than Barack Obama did. But now the UN is upset and says that we need to welcome Cuba into the family. This will hurt the people in Cuba because tourism brings money to the poor island. Now most people do not know this, but tourist dollars do not flow directly to the Cuban people, instead they go to the Cuban military which controls all foreign currency so by that situation the Castro brothers buy protection from being overthrown.

MILITARY SENTENCING- WHAT SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT IT?

The Bowe Bergdahl sentencing is spotlighting the tendency in our military services to grant extremely lenient sentences to those who transgress in the military. The shooter in Texas who killed at least 26 people has quite a disturbing past. He beat his wife, cracked his toddler stepson’s skull and was kicked out of the military. He drove away friends, drew attention from the police and abused his dog. Before the shooter entered a rural Texas church with a military-style rifle, killing at least 26 people on Sunday, he led a deeply troubled life in which few in his path escaped unscathed.

In 2012, while stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, Mr. Kelley was charged with assault, according to Air Force records, which said he had repeatedly struck, kicked and choked his first wife beginning just months into their marriage, and hit his stepson’s head with what the Air Force described as “a force likely to produce death or grievous bodily harm.”

“He assaulted his stepson severely enough that he fractured his skull,” said Don Christensen, a retired colonel who was the chief prosecutor for the Air Force, adding, “He pled to intentionally doing it.”

Prosecutors withdrew several other charges as part of their plea agreement with Mr. Kelley, including allegations that he repeatedly pointed a loaded gun at his wife.

He was ultimately sentenced in November that year to 12 months’ confinement and reduction to the lowest possible rank. His final duty title was “prisoner.”

This tells me that the military system has got to start explaining why their system of justice is so ridiculous.

DEMOCRATS VS REPUBLICANS- IS THE COUNTRY TIRED OF BOTH PARTIES?

I would say that about 80-85% of the national media are registered Democrats. The American people don’t like the Democratic Party and they don’t like the Republican Party. So, if the GOP wants to avoid Armageddon next year in the midterm elections than Trump has got to do something.

WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH DONNA BRAZILE?

Donna Brazile is genuinely angry that Donald Trump was elected president. So, her anger is manifested in why the American people were so incompetent that we couldn’t defeat him that is also what her book is about.

She goes further into the Clinton Campaign and the DNC and what was really going on during the election.
