The loud whining you hear is some members of the press lamenting that President Trump has threatened to boot a few media creatures from The White House.
The war between the establishment press and Mr. Trump is intensifying as the President believes the overwhelming negative coverage of his administration is fraudulent. That’s the “fake news” charge.
The conservative Media Research Center says the three nightly network newscasts have been 91 percent negative reporting on Trump so far this year.
When you consider a strengthening economy, progress on North Korea, and a more secure southern border, it does seem that the press ignores positive things and dwells on the negative as far as Mr. Trump is concerned.
Of course, the anti-Trump Media doesn’t see it that way. They believe their coverage is appropriate because, well, Donald Trump is a bad man.
And that’s the crux of it; President Trump is bad and the press must relentlessly report the badness even if it means ignoring positive things, and using anonymous sources peddling unverified anti-Trump stories.
That violates the rules of journalism but because Trump is “bad,” the media has no remorse.
Chances are The White House will not revoke anyone’s credentials because that would make the admonished journalist a martyr. But with Donald Trump, you never know.
Tonight on the No Spin News, we will analyze the growing problem between the press and the President. Also, the terrible violence in Chicago expands.
It all starts at 7 eastern time. Hope to see you then.
