Every American should know their Congressperson's name and email address. This is crucial. I hear a lot of frustration from folks asking me: “Why aren’t they doing anything?”
You should ask them! Your representatives have offices in your area. They are in your district. Make an appointment, email them, whatever.
Most Americans have no clue how to reach their elected officials; some don’t even know who they are!
A Gallup survey finds that just one-third of adults can name their Congressperson.
Even worse, the incumbency rate in the House of Representatives is 97 percent. That means only 3 percent of people who ran for re-election lost.
It’s no surprise these officials feel zero accountability toward their constituency.
If you have a problem, tell them. It’s their job to fix it.
