The relentless pounding that President Trump is taking from the media shows no signs of letting up. And I'm not just talking news people here. Show business folks in general are convinced Mr. Trump is corrupt and evil. The more progressive the media person is, the more extreme the anti-Trump posture is. Hello, Stephen Colbert.
Along with the hate/Trump campaign comes an aggressive posture towards anyone who might support the President. The general media attitude is: "you must be a moron to like this guy. There is something wrong with you!"
That kind of denigration of Trump supporters is now solidifying. The President's job approval poll numbers continue to slip. Some folks are afraid to even say they support Mr. Trump for fear of being scorned.
The only way this intense situation will recede is if the Republicans can pass a tax cut for working Americans. If that happens, Trump supporters and the President himself, will regain some momentum. If Republicans cannot get tax reform done, the midterm election of 2018 may be bloody for them.
