Great American civil rights visionary Martin Luther King Jr. believed in using nonviolent disobedience to help achieve the goal of equality for African-Americans in this country. Dr. King was second on Gallup's List of Most Widely Admired People of the 20th Century. 50 years ago today, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
