The Philadelphia gunman who injured six police officers had a long record – a dozen arrests, a bunch of convictions on serious gun and narcotics charges.

The guy should have been in jail for twenty years – we need to federalize all gun crimes with mandatory ten year minimums if you are found with a gun in the commission of a crime – in addition to whatever the crime is. 

Knock it out so law abiding gun owners don’t have to deal with this.
