Banishing Negative Thoughts
October 21, 2020

A few weeks ago, I told you about Tai Chi – which gives your body a physical stretch. Now, I want to extend that into the mental aspect of eastern philosophy.

I have traveled all over Asia, and the societies over there are far different than America. There is a sense of fatalism in the Far East. That means whatever happens is accepted – there is much less emotion involved.

The Far East has an incredible ability to banish negative thoughts – they use a method called Tantra.

In classes of Tantra, they teach that negative thoughts are natural, and you need to accept them – don’t fight them.

In America, we tend to fight negative thoughts. That’s why we have so much alcoholism and drug addiction.

When you have a negative thought, Tantra focuses on deep breathing and replacing the bad thought with a positive one.

Think of something positive – it could be food, a TV show, an experience – but that is a perfect way to replace a negative thought.

Negative thoughts increase your stress. Tantra helps you reduce that stress, so try it out.
