It is shaping up to be a decent week for President Trump. As we predicted, the sloppy reporting about Mr. Trump “deciding” to fire Robert Mueller is fading fast, and tonight the President has a chance to act presidential during the State of the Union address.
I will have my own State of the Union address at 5pm eastern that will be open to all. Then right before the President speaks and again right after, I will appear live on Newsmax TV with more analysis.
There is one other major story in play today and that is the memo that will soon be released chronicling a huge FBI screw up in obtaining a wire tap on former Trump campaign official Carter Page. The memo will certainly damage the Russian-collusion investigation. Thus, the anti-Trump folks are in an uproar.
President Trump would be wise to avoid mentioning the FBI or the Mueller investigation tonight. Just keep the speech on policy and let any corruption unfold in the public arena. The people will get it.
