Seth Meyers tackles Trump in Golden Globes speech focused on sexual harassment

Seth Meyers on Sunday traded President Trump-related zingers for his opening monologue at the Golden Globes, which focused heavily on the hot-button topic of sexual misconduct in the entertainment industry.

Meyers, a first-time host of the 75th annual awards show, greeted the audience with a wisecrack: “Good evening, ladies…and remaining gentlemen.”

“It’s 2018: marijuana is finally allowed, and sexual harassment finally isn’t,” the NBC “Late Night” host said to applause. “It’s gonna be a good year.”

“This was the year of big little lies and get out. And also the television series ‘Big Little Lies’ and the movie ‘Get Out,’” Meyers quipped.

“For the male nominees in the room tonight, this is the first time in three months it won’t be terrifying to hear your name read out loud,” Meyers told the crowd.
