The not-so-esteemed Jasmine Crockett will be leaving the House at the end of the year. That is fabulous news for most sane people, but very dismaying to radical leftists, racial hucksters, and MS NOW. As she prepares to leave, Crockett is apparently heeding the advice of poet Dylan Thomas: ‘Do not go gentle into that good night.’
The Congresswoman decided to weigh in on a murder case in Texas and poured aviation fuel on the fire. As you probably know, 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony was found guilty of stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf to death at a high school track meet. The facts were straightforward – Anthony ended a dispute by pulling out a knife and stabbing Metcalf in the heart. The jury took three hours to render its verdict, after which Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
The jurors saw the case in black and white, but Crockett saw it in Black and White. Karmelo Anthony is Black, and Austin Metcalf was White; all she needed to know. Jasmine dismissed the murder weapon as a tiny knife and used her considerable legal skills to come up with this exculpatory excuse: ‘If a 300-pound man is beating me, on top of me and beating me down, I’m not limited to fists.’ For the record, the late Austin Metcalf weighed about 225 and, according to witnesses, gave Anthony a light shove. The lovely Ms. Crockett then insulted the grieving family. ‘Black women who have Black male children,’ she declared, ‘live in fear and agony every single day … the Metcalfs probably never spent a day living that way.’ Bear in mind, the Metcalfs had just lost their teenage son to a senseless act of violence and will spend a lifetime in ‘agony.’
If that wasn’t enough, on Tuesday, the Congresswoman used a House hearing to slander Alveda King, niece of Rev. Martin Luther King. ‘People of color do not feel comfortable or welcomed within your party,’ Crockett told Republicans. ‘That’s why you have to parade someone who has the name Dr. King attached to them so that people can be confused.’
Here’s a short stroll down memory lane and a few of Jasmine Crockett’s disgraceful remarks.
- She mocked wheelchair-bound Greg Abbott as ‘Governor Hot Wheels.’
- She made this specious claim on CNN: ‘The people that commit 80% of the most violent crimes in this country are White supremacists.’
- Another quote: ‘This is not America, this is a terrible nightmare. Somebody slap me and wake me the f*** up because I’m ready to get on with it.’
Jasmine Crockett is exiting the House because her district was redrawn and she ran for the Senate, losing to James Talarico in the Democratic primary. Despite her name recognition and endless TV appearances, she was defeated by a candidate who believes there are six genders. And she lost handily, not by an eyelash, indicating just what Texas Dems think of her.
When considering the imminent departure of Jasmine Crockett, six famous words come to mind: ‘And nothing of value was lost.’ Or, to put it more crudely, ‘Don’t let the door hit you …’
