Bill Examines Latest Fox News Poll: 'I thought it would be worse'
Bill On Trump's Poll Numbers: "I Thought It Was Going To Be Worse'

Hey BillOReilly.com Premium Members. Welcome to the No Spin News, 9th of June 2016.

So at this point a new Fox News poll out says that Hillary Clinton is up by three over Donald Trump, and that Mr. Trump has lost six points in the last week or so.

Not surprising. Whenever you’re in a controversy, as Trump has been with the judge deal, you’re going to lose some steam. But, as I said, in ten days nobody will even remember. It’ll be overcome by other events.

Not to say that Trump should continue to put himself in a position where he’s on the defensive—he should not.

That’s the big thing that Trump’s got to learn. That every time he makes a big issue out of race, no matter what it is, that’s going to just obliterate anything else he wants to say.

And Hillary Clinton winning big in California--that certainly has given her a little bit of momentum.

I thought it was going to be worse. I thought she’d be up by six or seven, and she may be in some of the other polls. Not to say that Fox isn’t a good poll, I think it is.

There are about three or four polls that I trust that I see consistently are close to being right—no poll is ever exactly right—but Fox News is one of those polls. So I take it very seriously.

On the other front, it’s kind of a lull now until the conventions. You’ll get skirmishes…Trump will do something next week to get some attention back on him.

What I’m hearing, and this is not in stone, but just for you guys, I can’t say it on the air—is that Trump has got his op team looking at the Clinton Foundation, and he’s going to come out with all kinds of stuff about quid pro quos, that this person gave this much money and then they got this favor. And he’ll make a big deal out of it.

So that’ll be the news cycle next week. That’s what we’re preparing for.

If Trump can keep it on the issues and not get back into ethnic swamps, which you can’t win by the way, believe me. You can’t win there. Because none of your remarks will ever be quoted accurately and the demagogues will run out on cable and the network news and start to define what you said in a fallacious way.

That’s why you guys are Premium Members, because I don’t do that. I tell you exactly what it is. And I do that for all powerful people. I mean, I’m not in business to besmirch them—Word of the Day.

So anyway, thanks for being Premium Members and we’ll talk to you again soon.
