I want to congratulate my staff for an excellent job tracking down the origins of the protests we are seeing here in New York City, and some other places around the country.
I gave them the assignment last night, because I knew this was not spontaneous, and they were very good at getting underneath- because it is not easy. There are a lot of these groups. They are shadowy, they are not honest, they operate on a whole bunch of different levels, and we really nailed it down for you.
So the importance of this is that there are two kinds of protests. There are the tea party protests, that is folks who are not liking how the government is going. They were somewhat organized, but not on a national basis. It was like local people set up a tea party group, and then they have a list of people, they send them out: we are going to be here.
Nothing wrong with that! Nothing wrong with that, but when you have heavily funded unions like the SEIU hiding behind little front groups to get people stirred up about race, when the SEIU could not care less about it, they just do not like America. They are socialists.
That is when I have to go in and expose. And we did that very, very vividly today. And that is why you are Premium Members, I know that. You disagree with me on some things, and I want to address that in a moment.
We also are looking at a story in Tallahassee about a satanic temple intruding on a Christmas display, a holiday display there. We will probably do something on it next week; I think it is pretty outrageous.
But let me get to the dissent that some people have written me about. Not as many as I thought, by the way.
When Charles Krauthammer and I came out, independently by the way. I had no idea, as I mentioned yesterday, what Charles’ point of view was on the Grand Jury on Staten Island in the Eric Garner case. But we came to the same conclusion independently. You look at a video, which is much different than Ferguson, because you have that video to see. And you say, you know what? There is enough here to get this into the judicial system so that both sides can explain their point of view. There is enough.
And, there was.
So we have people who disagree. No, no, no, the Grand Jury heard other people, which they did, and you did not hear them, O’Reilly, so you cannot say that.
I respect that dissent, but I believe that I am correct. That based on the video, and based on the explosive nature of a man dying because he was selling cigarettes, you have got to do it. You have got to go through the system so that people see there is transparency and they see it work.
You have to do it, and I would have if I had been on the Grand Jury, voted that way.
Now, there are some people – not many – who, no matter what the police do, will support the police. So it does not matter what they do. If it is the police against a perpetrator – particularly one who is resisting – no matter what the circumstance is, they are going to support the police. I understand that.
But that is not what I do. I am in business to bring you the most honest information and analysis I can. And I cannot be in a group that says every time, I am going to support this.
Every time I am going to support the Republicans, every time I am going to support the Democrats.
And there are a lot of people who do that! Every time I am going to support the black cause. Every time I am going to support the white cause.
I hope you guys understand that what I do is different than what most other people do. We do not play to any choir here. We do not. We are independent all the way down the line, despite the left-wing press labeling us whatever they label us. We do not do that; you know that, we have been on the air 18 years.
So, when I say something, believe me, I have thought about it from all levels, and I give you my honest opinion. And sometimes I even lose viewers, but that is what I have to do.
I hope you guys have a great weekend, Christmas is coming fast, I hope you got to our Christmas Store and use your discounts, because so many fine charities are being helped. It is really a worthwhile enterprise.
Talk to you again Monday. |
