Avoid Outside Emotions
October 6, 2020

I’m a big sports fan. My teams, the New York Mets and the Jets, are bad – and have been for a long time. I’m still loyal, but it’s frustrating.

You can’t get emotionally involved with sports, politics, or any outside thing. It’s okay to get emotional with inside things, like family or your livelihood – but keep it under control.

I’m not going to watch the NBA playoffs because of LeBron James. It’s not an emotional thing – it’s a calculated business decision.

LeBron James is now a liberal politician and isn’t open to any other point of view – which is not a good thing.

Mr. James has a following of minority kids, who he tells they don’t have a chance in America. Why would I ever watch LeBron James?

That’s not emotional. It’s a steely-eyed business decision. Don’t get emotional about things outside your inner circle.
