When evaluating Donald Trump’s second term, there really is only one fair measure: is the President improving the country with his polices?

Demeanor doesn’t matter because 77 million voters supported Mr. Trump’s quest for a White House return.  Every single one of those people knew what they were getting.

At this point, America is gaining strength economically by most measures.  But high prices remain.  The President is trying a number of things to reverse the trend.  No one knows if food and insurance costs will decline. They are the primary problem.

Crime is down across the country, obviously a good thing.  Illegal immigration has largely ended.  Border security is much stronger.

Bad guys like Maduro and the Iranian Mullahs have been confronted.  Cuba may fall.  Putin remains a serious problem.  The Chinese seem to want some kind of detente.

In my opinion, that’s a strong record in 12 months.  Not perfect, of course.  But trending positive for most Americans. Even those who hate Trump.
