Super Bowl Sunday
February 5, 2026
Capitalism cannot be any more vivid than at the Super Bowl.  It’s all about money, and you had better bring some if you’re attending the game in Santa Clara, California.

Top ticket price is $30,000 a seat on the secondary market.  Cheapest: $4,000, and you are sitting with the seagulls.

Average hotel room cost in the San Francisco area is $2,300 a night, up from the usual $500.  No wonder there are legions of homeless.

Driving to the stadium, around $250 to park.  Want a beer?  $12 a cup. Yikes.

So, the gouge is on, but people will pay it, and that’s the hallmark of a free marketplace.  There will never be a Super Bowl in China or Russia.  Only in America, the land of opportunity. And, unfortunately, price gouging.

I’ll be in the middle of it all, and if Bad Bunny gets out of line, you may see me rush the halftime stage.  Hopefully, the malevolent rabbit will restrain himself.

Will be tweeting and posting on Instagram throughout the weekend. @BillOReilly.  Enjoy the spectacle.
