One of the most vile human beings ever was Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi minister of propaganda who peddled vicious lies that justified genocide and mass destruction.
Goebbels was the guy who purported that Poland actually "invaded" Germany, kicking off World War II.
The German people remain responsible for embracing the evil Third Reich, and it is almost shocking to see Goebbels' techniques being used today in America.
The propaganda thug believed that if you repeat a lie often enough, people will accept it as truth.
Submitted for your consideration: Democrats saying Donald Trump pledged to be a "dictator on day one."
The actual quote from the President was directed solely to dealings with the automobile industry.
Then there's "good people on both sides."
Anti-Trump people allege Trump was calling neo-Nazi demonstrators in Virginia honorable.
The truth is, Mr. Trump was referring to Americans who were debating whether or not to remove Confederate statues.
Now we have "cuts" to Medicaid and tax "breaks" for the wealthy.
In a hard news article on August 13, Wall Street Journal reporter Juliet Chung writes: "President Trump's new tax law, which extends a broad federal tax cut to the wealthy ...
"The law also makes deep cuts to funding for such programs as Medicaid ..."
The Wall Street Journal editors know that reporting is misleading. There are no "cuts" to Medicaid, and the income tax rate simply stays the same for everyone. There are new Medicaid requirements. Like able-bodied Americans have to look for work or volunteer to improve the country.
Since some Americans receiving Medicaid refuse to do that, the roles will be "cut."
It is long past time to reject partisan reporting and ideological propaganda. Let's stop enshrining the memory of Joseph Goebbels.
If we could ever cut the rank propaganda, the country would be a much better place.
Enjoy the weekend. |
