The Senate has voted to block consideration of a measure that would punish any doctor who fails to provide medical care to a child born alive after an attempted abortion. While three Democrats did vote in favor of the bill, it wasn’t enough to push it thru. One the other hand a new Marist College poll reveals a dramatic turn away from the pro-choice position and toward the pro-life position. Maybe the elected officials should be paying more attention to public opinion.
