O'Reilly's Predictions for the Democratic Debates

Hi, I'm Bill O'Reilly for Newsmax and this is the Talking Points Memo.

I'm going to make a prediction about the Democratic presidential contender debates. Two of them... and see if I'm right or if I'm totally ridiculous. All right so pay attention because what I'm going to say and then you go tomorrow and Thursday, you can say O'Reilly is full of it or O'Reilly is a genius.

All right let's start with tonight. Only two people on the stage, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have any chance at all to do well in primaries. The others are not really factors at all. Beto O'Rourke, he's bringing three people, three high school football players who didn't stand for the national anthem. Beto, do you really think that's going to get you anywhere? You're polling about 2 percent.

Moyor Buttigieg polling zero percent among African-Americans in a new CNN poll. He's 5 percent overall. I mean, these guys and the rest of them are worse. I mean nobody cares, nobody knows. Nobody's paying attention. And the debate format with 10 people on stage, two hours, you don't really have anything but Sanders and Warren, they're going to have the same audience. And there's no difference between Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, they're socialists. That's what they are. OK. So if you combine both of their audiences, then you have something. But they split the ticket.

So Elizabeth Warren in particular has to knock out Bernie Sanders. How is she going to do that? It's hard because they're simpatico politically. But she's got to figure out some way to make Sanders look old and doddering. Remember Sanders is going down because he's a white man and in the Democratic precincts, white guys are not really what they want. I wrote a column on Bill O'Reilly.com about the evil white man syndrome. So Bernie's big problem is his gender and his age somewhat. So I expect Elizabeth Warren to do something to get ahead of Bernie Sanders. If Sanders doesn't do well tonight, he's through.

All right that's tonight. So thre is not really a lot going on. Tomorrow, you got Joe Biden. He is the big story. So Biden still, if you go to Real Clear Politics.com, they have an aggregate of all the polling, national polling on the presidential race. Biden is still way out in front. OK Sanders and Warren are behind him. Kamala Harris is fourth and then I think it's Buttigieg, way down at 5 percent.

So, Biden, he's trying basically to rise above all this crazy far left stuff but he can't. So now he has to start to repudiate his old positions. He did so on abortion. Now he's on the death penalty. Biden was a big death penalty guy. Now he doesn't want it anymore. He's changing. Changing his vision. All of that. I don't know how you change these core beliefs. I've always been against the death penalty. Because I believe that the Creator decides when you're born and when you die. It's why I oppose abortion. So I'm consistent. Oh by the way, if I were in charge, the People commit murder and rape and these things... they'd wish they were dead in the prison I would put them in.

So anyway, Biden, they're going to come after Biden because he was once a crime warrior. Tough on crime. He signed all these bills, not sign them, he proposed all these bills. Put them in jail, put them in jail, put them in jail. Execute them, execute them, execute. That's his legacy. That's his history. That's his resume. The others are going to come at him like crazy... You put all these African-Americans in jail. They shouldn't be in jail. It's not a crime to sell heroin and methamphetamine. That's not a violent crime. No no no no no.

So what is Biden going to do? He's probably gonna go, now I'm woke or I've changed or I've evolved all of that. Then they're going to go the race thing with Biden. You know they're going to start that again. By the way, before every answer of every candidate, they're going to go, Trumps a racist and now I'll answer your question. That's what they are going to do. So Biden is the big story. I don't think Kamala Harris is the one that's going to go at him. Because I think Harris basically wants to stay where she is. All right. Well she's growing a little bit. She didn't want to get a big controversy with Biden and his people. But I could be wrong. Harris might go after him like she did last time.

But if Biden does not do well on Thursday night. Might be Bye-Bye Biden. He can't take another one. He's gotta look strong and presidential and he's got to be confident of his positions and explain himself. But he is the story in this week's Democratic debates. By the way, CNN commentators, don't expect anything tough. Maybe one or two tough questions but they'll never follow up. All right CNN is solidly in the Democratic camp.

That is the Talking Points Memo. I am Bill O'Reilly for Newsmax. We'll see you again soon.
