Although it has not demonstrated itself yet, there is a growing anger in America that powerful people are hurting the folks. Soon, this anger will emerge but I'm not sure how.
Let me give you one vivid example. The republican health care bill is stalled in the senate because GOP senators cannot seem to compromise on the new law which would replace Obamacare. Senator Rand Paul, a doctor himself, simply will not alter his vision on how Americans should be treated. At least two other republican senators feel the same way.
Therefore, the new law may die a gory death in the senate and Obamacare, which has created mass chaos in the medical precincts, would continue.
If that happens, millions of republican and independent voters will be furious and the Grand Old Party will likely take a beating.
There comes a point when government becomes an oppressive force. With the Democratic Party freely admitting it will not cooperate with President Trump and the Republican Party divided along ideological lines, we have reached that point.
Help for the folks is not a priority in Congress or in the media. |
