Dr. Christine Ford wrote Democratic lawmakers a letter in July accusing Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct more than 35 years ago. During the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in September, Dr. Ford said she did not authorize the letter's release, despite it being made public. So how did the letter get out? If Dr. Ford’s privacy was violated by a federal official, it’s a crime. But the letter was leaked. We don’t know by who, but probably by a Congressperson or Senator.
