The Politics of John McCain's Funeral & Political Predictions for the Fall
The Politics of John McCain's Funeral & Political Predictions for the Fall

Hey BillOReilly.com Premium Members welcome to the No Spin News, Thursday August 30th 2018. Take your country back.

As we approach the Labor Day weekend, I thought we would do something a little different tonight. I'm going to lay out what's going to happen in my opinion, in the fall. Things that you can look for, important things that will affect your life. Labor Day is a time when people wrap it up for the summer and aren't really thinking about the news. But there's just so much going on and it usually doesn't happen this way, it is usually dead in August. But boy oh boy is there a lot of and there are a lot of things right below the surface. So I'm going to bring you up to date on all of that.

John McCain will be honored this weekend in two occasions. He's got a Saturday funeral in Washington and then a Sunday service where he'll be interred in Annapolis, Maryland. So this is a good honor, I think a deserving honor for Senator McCain, as I said. But I was disturbed that Sarah Palin was not invited to the funeral in Washington. And if you read my Message of the Day, it just seems to me that that slight and it is, to Sarah Palin was unnecessary.

So I know Sarah Palin a little bit, and I know John McCain a little bit more. They never got along, McCain thought that she wasn't up to the job intellectually. He chose her because his advisers said hey you need up against Barack Obama a woman on the ticket. She is feisty, successful in Alaska, a good public speaker and at first it worked beautifully. If you remember the campaign the when she was introduced as the V.P. nominee with the hockey moms and all of that, lipstick on a pig, it really worked well. But over the course of the campaign it was demonstrated that Ms. Palin didn't really know that much about the world. John McCain and Sarah Palin rarely were seen together during the campaign, rarely. Their staffs hated each other, the McCain people hated the Palin people and back and forth. And when they lost so badly to Barack Obama they never had any contact again, as far as I know. I never really even though Sarah Palin took a winter place in Arizona. So there wasn't good blood there. But you know she was his V.P. nominee. She deserves to be treated with respect just because of that. And unless she did something horrendous, that I don't know about, you don't know about, hasn't been reported she should have been invited. And I just this country is going the wrong way as far as civility is concerned. Really, it's going the wrong way.

Sometimes you have to overlook stuff for the greater good. And I think the funeral of John McCain would have been much better served had Sarah Palin been invited and she wouldn't even been a factor, maybe they would add a shot or two on the network news.

Now why is this getting so much coverage on the network? It's because the Senator was anti-Trump and there's a subtle message in there. This is what a politician should be John McCain, look at him. Look at how he conducted himself. That's what a politician should be, not, what we have a president now. That's what the network and the news organizations, that's why so much attention is being given to John McCain. Again, he deserves the attention he is a patriot but others who also deserved the attention particularly Republicans didn't get a shred of that. Ronald Reagan, he did but I can't remember anybody else who did, maybe Dwight Eisenhower because of his war service. So that's what it's all about, it's all about politics, always about politics with the news organizations. If McCain, I guarantee you, had supported Donald Trump and been outspoken in his belief that Donald Trump should be president, if he had done that, you wouldn't see any of this, wouldn't be happening. Obamacare is a big vote, too, the press loves Obamacare.

One other aside before we get to the predictions about the fall, I watched a little of the Andrew Cuomo, Cynthia Nixon debate last night locally in New York. Ms Nixon is challenging Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary for Governor. So I just was almost a gag at Cynthia Nixon's view of the world. Everybody should get everything free. If you're not making a lot of money, you get free housing, free health benefits, free job, free salary, free everything. Now New York City is going to go bankrupt. It's just a matter of when. All right. And they don't have nearly enough money to cover all of their services. The transit situation is falling apart even though they're getting tens of millions of dollars every week on their tolls just to get into New York City. They're still running all kinds of, because they have pensions and that. It's a massive thing, they can't afford any of this Cuomo even said it but he didn't really say it with any heart because Cuomo has to run the left against Nixon. But it was amazing to me how this woman, Cynthia she is the actress. All right who I know because she played Nancy Reagan in my movie Killing Reagan. How, you know, it's like all right in order to pay for this, you'd have to confiscate money from corporations and affluent, you'd have to take their stuff.

There's no way on Earth that you could fund it. Oh no, we could do it blah blah blah. Bull you're lying. Every study in the world shows you couldn't do it, runs into trillions of dollars. And that's what Cynthia Nixon was to do, confiscate stuff from corporations in affluent America. Trump would be very wise to run on that, very, very wise. In Florida, you got another guy now, he is running on the Democratic ticket for Governor he is a socialist. Line these people up because Americans know this is insane, they know and the Democratic Party you know that's where they're going. That's where they're going. That's a huge break for Trump.

All right, in the fall. Next Tuesday after everybody gets back from Labor Day, we have Brett Kavanaugh and he'll go into the Senate Judiciary Committee for four days of hearings. They'll be numbing. OK. All the Republicans on the committee 11 of them will say you're the greatest guy and that and all Democrats will say you're the devil and it will be nasty with the Democrats, they are going to go in and they're going to accuse him of all kinds of things, being a racist, a sexist. It is all about abortion. That's what it is about and keep your eye on Kamala Harris, she's on the committee. She's going to be nasty. I'm going to focus in on her because she's a presidential aspirant. Dianne Feinstein also on the committee, she has to run again, and she has to run to the left. She'll be nasty but not as nasty as Kamala, I believe I could be wrong and if I am I'm going apologize to Ms. Harris but I'm just saying this is being...

So Kavanaugh will have to endure. I'm sure he knows it, he's a smart guy. He knows he's going to get accused of all kinds of things, smeared, all of that, that's going to happen. He's got to disciplined himself, just sit there answer the questions, if it's not a question and if it's a statement that is smearing you just say, you know I didn't hear a question in there, is there a question? All I heard was you attacking me. I would do that. I would point out the personal attacks the ad hominem, to the man attacks, the Democrats will use. So that's four days. And then nothing happens until the vote which Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader wants October 1st. And I see all that happening, and I see it happening and then I see Kavanaugh being confirmed, the worst fears of the far left because Kavanaugh is a moderate, he may even be conservative. All right. But he's certainly a moderate and the far left wants a progressive agenda. That's not happening under Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. So whether you hate Trump or you like Trump or whatever it is, if Trump gets two on the court, which looks like he will, he can retire. I mean, and the economy is doing very well, I mean obviously that's a part of his re-election campaign. All right. So Kavanaugh is the first big.

Story second big story, that nobody talks about is the Inspector General's report from the Justice Department on the Mueller-Russian collusion investigation. It has got to come out before the vote in November, it has too. I mean it's just inconceivable. You've got to put out the report. So Rod Rosenstein, who was implying, you know because Sessions recuse. He's got you know, you got to put it out. You can't keep saying we're not done, all right, if you'd need to do more OK, but put out what you have, it's not fair to the country because that Inspector General's report, that's going to be huge and I expect it to be put out. If I'm wrong on this then the country is in serious trouble. The country is in trouble now anyway, unfortunately, but I'm going to put the word serious trouble if this IG report doesn't come out.

President Trump is going to travel all over the place beginning today go to Indiana. And he's just going to go go go go go gets him out of Washington which he doesn't like, he'll go around the country, he will give his speeches. Fox News will carry many of them. Other networks won't. He'll try to you know get people elected in the House, so he can, doesn't lose the chamber. So they told me 40 speeches between now and Election Day, I think it can be 50. I think he's going to be out there. Now Barack Obama did the same thing in his midterm, first midterm. He went out there, I think he was out there 35 times or something like that and they got whacked, the Democrats got whacked, so it didn't help.

Trump's a different character, so I think Trump will keep up the provocations, I think he's going to keep up the tweets and keep attacking the press, he believes attacking the press mobilizes people to come out to vote for his side. That's what he believes. He's going to keep doing what he's doing. You know obviously bolster the economy and hope the stock market doesn't crash. Stock market is pretty high, it is due for a correction, you know if that correction comes before the election it's not good. So they're are all hoping, that's why Trump is saying to the Fed don't raise interest rates. OK. He wants that window of two months. So the stock market continues to flock. If the Feds raise interest rates that could temper the stock market down. I don't want to get too technical but it's all tied in as I said everything is politics, everything is politics in this country.

The NFL opens up in about 10 days with the last exhibition games played tonight. I don't expect too much hysteria over this National Anthem thing. Most of the broadcasts will not show it, yeah you'll see the pictures. There's a hard core 20 players by my calculation that want to do this thing, that want to protest their country before the games. But 20 isn't a lot and some of the owners have been pretty, pretty clear that, that's not going to help you in your career if you do it. But Seattle, Marshawn Lynch on the Oakland Raiders, this guy hates his country, hates it always has. Philadelphia Eagles got a couple of them, the Miami Dolphins but not, not that many. So I expected to die out. There is a movement to boycott a weekend of NFL. I don't think that's smart. Just let it play out. You know if you're a consumer and you go to the games and you don't like it, don't go, sell your tickets. I don't buy that stuff. That's certainly your right to do it.

And overall, I just see a, and I wish I didn't have to report this final thing in the fall, a nasty, nasty atmosphere in this country continuing to develop. And you're seeing the showbiz community, the late night guys, all kind of band together and you're seeing the internet, it's unbelievable what's happening. And I just think it's horrible. And it goes back to Sarah Palin, you know can we get a little civility. You know, what would be wrong with having Sarah Palin at the funeral? But there are going to be attack, after attack, after attack and I'm going to report them. I think I've been pretty honest, pretty honest, I think we're 100 percent honest. And if we're not, you guys got to let us know. So that's what's going to happen in the next few weeks. We'll be here for you. This forum is your private newscast by subscription. Anytime you want it, you got it and if you need more clarification on the Concierge Program of BillOReilly.com I'll give it to you and I'll always tell you the truth. Always.

All right let's go to the mail.

Connie on the message board.

"Bill who can legally stop the Mueller investigation now that the Ohr testimony has come out?"

It wasn't really testimony, it was just Q and A, formal testimony. I think for Mr. Ohr, a counselor or lawyer at the Justice Department has to come. He just didn't remember too many things. But nobody can legally stop the Mueller investigation right now, it can be you know, President Trump can fire Mueller, which would be a horrible move, that would definitely lead to impeachment. Rod Rosenstein could fire him, Rosenstein won't, Sessions has recused himself. So Mueller is going to go to the end and that's why we need the Inspector General's report. That counters Mueller. Now, it is possible that report may exonerate Mueller and say he is doing a hell of a job, it is possible. But of course, that's not what happened in Hillary Clinton email report.

Diana Rock. Exeter, New Hampshire.

"How can people such as Lanny Davis and fake news get away with telling lies that are designed to ruin other people's reputations?"

How can they get away with it? OK. There's no oversight on the press. The press has got freedom pretty much do what the press wants to do, Diane. There is no like, agency that can fine somebody for lying. The press, they can run wild. Lanny Davis can be sanctioned by the bar, by the law association. If somebody brought charges against him he could, he'd have to, you know explain what this all about. So there is some oversight over lawyers. If they lie as, you know, I have known Lanny Davis for a long time, so I'm not going to smear him with the word liar, I'm not. All right. He misled, no doubt. But I'm not going to call him a liar. I don't think it gets us anywhere, but I don't see anything wrong with you doing that, Diane. I mean he certainly spread falsehoods to CNN. And as you say and they were designed to hurt Donald Trump and his son's reputation.

Michael Costner. Bozeman, Montana.

"You asked Dr. Amen why people are pushing legalization of marijuana. I believe it's greed. Many people will profit from legalization. Biggest problem for legalization makes pot more available to younger and younger children."

Absolutely, I have said that for years. So Michael, you're right and it was interesting they asked both Cuomo and Nixon last night, well what do you say to parents who are telling their kids not to smoke marijuana when you both want marijuana legalized. Nixon dodged the completely in the broadly said well it's a racial thing because more people are sanctioned who sell marijuana from the African-American communities then the whites. Ok fine. Cuomo said he talked with his kids about it. But the bottom line is the liberal cause, it's the liberal cause. Legalize marijuana, we don't really care what the unintended consequences are, it is a money thing. No doubt about it. You'll get some money but in Colorado doesn't seem to have done all that much, there's more homeless on the people streets of Denver than there has ever been. They're all over the place because drug addicts come to Colorado. They know that not only marijuana, but drugs are easy to get so they come there, just like San Francisco and they sit there and they don't work and they are homeless and they take drugs all day, all night.

Jermaine on the message board.

"When you pick and choose which laws should be enforced anarchy is on its way. And I don't want to live in a lawless society, do you think it will come to that?"

California is really on the edge, Jermaine. It doesn't say where you're from here on the message board. California is on the edge. I mean they don't want to prosecute you if you steal a car even if you know it's grand that I don't really want to do it, it is non-violent, message comes out. You know, pickpockets, shoplifters if they get caught so what, California isn't going to do anything to them, won't even hold them on bail anymore, no bail, see you, come back in three months. Yeah sure I'll come back. So I don't want to live in a lawless society either, New York isn't as bad as California but if Cynthia Nixon is elected it will be, de Blasio is a disaster as mayor of New York City.

Johnny Jensen. Salina, Kansas.

"I recently became a Premium Member Dr. Amen and Will Ruger's studies were both very interesting. You always have such a good guest."

You know I really put a lot of thought into that. We usually use one guest we might up to two in the fall, depending on what our schedule is. We're going to have some big names are going to have, Sean Spicer come on in, I think, we're going to have the, I better not tell you I want to surprise you but we're going to have some good names come on in. And you know in the half hour format that we give you we do have room for two if there's not a lot of news that day. But I think you're better served at this private news service just for you, if I'm running down six or seven, eight or nine stories a day. If I use two guests then we're going to, but they will always be good. I'm not going to put anybody on that is not good. We do extensive pre-interviewing here.

Wade Johnson. Metarie, Louisiana.

I think I'm saying that right, outside of New Orleans.

"I recently became Premium Member. I'm so glad your podcast is now on Fire TV, I'm really enjoying it.".

I don't know what Fire TV is but I'm glad you're enjoying it. We have a list of how you guys, you Premium Members can get me on the big screen. So you see I'm not using any makeup here out on Eastern Long Island, you could see me what I really look like if you ran into me in the street. But there's a number of vehicles I guess that's Amazon Fire and there is, what are the other, hmmm I can't remember, I've been on the ocean too much but we have a whole bunch of places where you can go and see us on TV by just clicking here and there or whatever.

Now the one on one program is working pretty well. We want to thank you all for getting Premium Members. What I'm going to do is I'm going to open this podcast up to everybody beginning Friday evening. So if you have some friends you say look go to BillOReilly.com. You can see what I see every day and if you like it, sign up so we're going to open it up, I'd say about late afternoon Friday maybe four, and we will keep it up till Tuesday. So spread the word that anybody can watch the No Spin News free just this one time and there have been a few times that I've opened it up one when really important things have happened but our subscription base is very strong now. And of course, we want more people and we are going to start the marketing.

We got Killing the SS coming up on October 9th, I'll be on a lot of radio shows. I don't know if I am going to do a lot of TV or not because we analyzed it and TV doesn't sell books anymore. Used to be I'd go on Letterman, I'd go on Leno, I'd go you know on Kimmel and it would sell some books. You know when I went on those shows but now it doesn't because the audience is so polarized and conservative people aren't watching that, historical people aren't watching those shows. Morning shows they only give you three-four minutes. So we're going to do a lot of internet stuff. I'm going to tell you how, where I'm going to be on SS, so you can listen and watch and stuff like that because it is about evil, books about evil.

So we need to know what could potentially happen in this country because that's what it's all about now. I mean when you listen to Cuomo and Nixon last night, if these people were ever elected president oh my God. I mean you know I worked hard for everything I have. I don't want Cynthia Nixon taking it away from me by force. All right. Call me crazy for her crazy vision of what society should be. This thing doesn't care if you're poor because you're irresponsible, she doesn't care about that, all right she cares what color your skin is. That's what she cares about. What color your skin is, everything's about this and abortion and abortion on demand on abortion, abortion, abortion, come on! And this radicalism is growing and growing, growing in the age of Trump. I don't believe it's going to succeed. I don't believe it. But if it ever has you're going to see evil like you've never even imagined because this is totalitarian stuff, this is fascism. They are going to take what affluent people have and they're going to drive the economy right into the ground by taking what corporations have. That's what they're going to do, Bernie Sanders, the guy is like insane for what his vision is and he's not even the most radical of them, so keep your eye on Kamala Harris next week, we'll report on it, when she questions Kavanaugh. You'll see she's the face of the future of the progressive left, Kamala Harris not Warren in Massachusetts, no it's Harris, who's the face of the progressive left, all right.

Word of the day, do not pettifog when writing to BillOReilly.com, now pettifog is a great word because it's what politicians do all the time. So if you don't know it look it up and don't pettifog.

So I hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend. Relax, maybe get away from all the madness for a little while. I am going to be in the ocean. There were dolphins out here the other day it was great, big, big group of dolphins. And they saw me and they all got scared. So we will be back on Tuesday, we'll open everything up tell your friends on Friday afternoon and thanks for being Premium Members.
