We’ve all heard the saying, mind over matter – but what does that really mean? It’s basically about mental discipline overcoming bad reality.
Earlier this week, I was feeling sluggish. The moment I felt tired, I slapped the leash on Holly and her took for a half mile walk.
I didn’t want to walk Holly, and Holly didn’t want to go either, but it worked. Once I was moving, I got air in my lungs, and felt energized.
It was my mind overcoming matter. Instead of walking Holly, I could have gone the other way and took a nap on the couch.
Mind over matter is a great skill to develop – and you do have to develop it. It takes time to figure it out.
So, when you’re not feeling well or something is going wrong, don’t give in to it. This will improve your life. |
