It will be interesting to see if the Disney Company suffers economically by alienating tens of millions of parents who believe their 5 to 8-year-olds should not be discussing "gender fluidity" at school.
I am simply amazed that Disney executives are using the enormous corporation to advance a far-left vision of education. The business risk is substantial.
Ever since television was invented, Disney has set programs for children and gained the trust of Americans by doing so. The fairy tales were brilliantly animated and wholesome entertainment brought in billions every year.
But now it's all about woke, a trend that is on the skids as folks see how narrow-minded and callous woke-ism really is.
The embarrassment of ordering employees not to say the words "boys and girls" is apparently lost on Disney executives. Really, what the L.A.-based company is doing is insane, self-destructive, and bad for all kids, not just traditional children.
My prediction is the marketplace will punish Disney but I could be wrong. Maybe, the public is numb to assaults on the culture - there are so many of them.
But I've had enough, I can tell you that. If Disney got behind anti-bullying education, I'd be wearing those mouse ears.
But hammering little kids with adult themes is not woke, it's stupid and irresponsible.
