An analysis by a law professor at George Mason University says that Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump because there is no room for compromise in today's Democratic Party.

    

That is certainly true.

    

Professor F. H. Buckley puts forth that Catholic voters especially broke for Trump because they were put off by the extreme liberalism endorsed by Mrs. Clinton.  Historically, Catholic voters have been sympathetic to the Dems because they champion the poor and marginalized.

    

But that philosophy has been put aside - instead replaced by a demonization of Americans who are pro-life, self-reliant and faith-based.  Liberal anger directed at those folks has put a hateful face on the Democratic Party.
