Questions: why did the Justice Department wait until late on a Friday afternoon to release a report by the Inspector General saying former Deputy Director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe, lied in a situation involving the Clinton Foundation? Friday afternoon is the slowest news time.
The IG report says McCabe misled then Director James Comey about talking to a Wall Street Journal reporter about the Foundation investigation. McCabe and his lawyer say Mr. Comey is the liar.
It look likes the FBI leaked information taken from attorney Michael Cohen’s office leading to embarrassment for a California man who has nothing to do with Cohen representing President Trump. Another private settlement trashed by federal investigators. That’s ultra-serious and a felony.
It is apparent that the Justice Department has severe problems with vital investigations. A complete overhaul is needed and federal leakers need to be found and prosecuted.
