As we predicted, an appeals court in New York has thrown out a judgment against the Trump Organization that now totals about $527 million.

The judges ruled unanimously the punishment is unconstitutional because it’s so extreme.

This was the case brought by NY Attorney General Letitia James alleging the Trump real estate arm borrowed big money using false accounting.  There were no complaints against the Trump Organization, just Ms. James’ jihad.

In the appeal ruling, which took eleven months, Judge David Friedman commented on the Attorney General: “Plainly her ultimate goal was not market hygiene… but political hygiene, ending with the derailment of President Trump’s political career and the destruction of his real estate business.”

The Judge’s opinion is correct, and it should be noted that the sitting judge in the case, Arthur Engoron, is a Trump hater and allowed the entire debacle to unfold.

So, another “lawfare” situation is exposed: massive corruption.  It will be interesting to see if the perpetrators of the con are ultimately punished themselves.
