I am a proponent of thinking ahead. I think it cuts down on chaos, you get more done, and it takes stress away.
I have 3 calendars to help with thinking ahead – each in different rooms of my house. On each calendar, I fill out what I have to do in the weeks and months ahead.
Doing this only takes about 5 minutes – and then you add more to the calendar as stuff comes in.
Thinking ahead in this complicated world is very important – but you have to be nimble. So, if something good pops up and you have no space for it, you have to make space.
I sometimes move stuff around, but I always keep my commitments. If I have a commitment, I keep it, no matter what.
But if can move things around with no inconvenience to others, I do it. That’s part of being nimble.
Thinking ahead is one of the easiest ways to keep your life in order – so I hope you try it out. |
