Friday: Clinton Email Controversy Update
Hillary Email Controversy Update
More shoes have dropped in the ongoing controversy over Hillary Clinton's emails. Eric analyzed the latest documents with Fox News correspondent Catherine Herridge. "The critical document describes the FBI's interview with Hillary Clinton," she reported. "What's stunning is that Hillary Clinton said again and again that she did 'not recall.' She did not recall when she got her security clearance, she did not recall if she got special briefings for handling intelligence. She also said she couldn't remember the circumstances under which she set up the Clinton email account, but the FBI agents never pressed her on this issue. There was no follow-up, which backs up the criticism that came from Republicans. We also learned that she had more than a dozen devices and we don't even know how they were disposed of."

Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch, which has been dogged in its pursuit of documents, also opined on the latest revelations. "I counted 30 or 40 times when she said, 'I don't recall.' At one point she said she had a concussion and so she might not remember the meetings about what she should have done with documents upon leaving office. She also kept her BlackBerry in the secure part of the State Department, which is against the rules. It also turns out that after the story broke about this in the New York Times, a computer person went in and deleted her emails. And she blames everyone else for her mishandling of classified information."
More on Hillary's Emails
For an opposing view, Eric welcomed Democratic Congressman Ruben Gallego. "The Clinton campaign wishes this material had come out earlier," he contended. "We want to be fully transparent and she was in a committee hearing being grilled for 11 hours. We know the American people will make their decisions not based on emails, but on the future of the country. There will be more attempts by Republicans to make this a partisan issue, and instead of dealing with this in a professional manner, Republicans have been leaking information." Eric reminded Congressman Gallego, "She can't shake this issue because we keep finding more and more information."
Reax from Team Trump
Eric was next joined by Donald Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson, who unsurprisingly castigated Hillary Clinton and the latest email revelations. "We have been told over and over that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified person to run for the presidency," Pierson said, "when experience shows exactly the opposite. She couldn't recall that she was trained on classified information, she didn't even know that the 'c' on the emails meant they were classified. She has obviously been lying and she will continue to lie. We are facing a crisis with terrorism and in November we have the opportunity to have someone like Donald Trump who wants to put American security first." Turning to immigration, Pierson tried to clarify Donald Trump's position on deportation. "Mr. Trump has said every illegal immigrant should leave the country and reapply if they want to be citizens."
Gingrich on the Latest Polls
Some polls indicate that Donald Trump is closing the gap with Hillary Clinton, both nationally and in some key swing states. Eric scrutinized the race with former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. "When Hillary Clinton said she turned over all her work-related emails," he scoffed, "she was only off by 13,700. The elite media does not understand the power of the issue of sanctuary cities, they don't understand the power of saying we should not let terrorists into the country. We are seeing a very aggressive Donald Trump while Hillary Clinton is in the Hamptons raising money. Also, Donald Trump is the first Republican who is explicitly saying to African Americans that things can get better." Gingrich ridiculed Hillary Clinton for avoiding press conferences. "She can't lie to the entire press corps and survive it, and she can't tell the truth and survive it. That's why I think her campaign is terminal - this is the most dishonest and corrupt candidate to ever run for the United States, it's sickening!"
Trump Visits Detroit
Donald Trump has been courting the black vote by talking about inner city violence and visiting cities like Detroit. Eric spoke about that outreach with attorney Nikki Johnson-Huston and Pastor Robert Jeffress. "I want to hear solutions about what is going on in the African American community," Johnson-Huston said, "and I want to hear an articulate plan about how we will make things better. I live in Philadelphia, which has not had a Republican mayor in about 50 years, so it's good to have multiple people sit at the table." Jeffress, a Trump supporter, urged black Americans to support his candidate. "By going to a black evangelical church Saturday, Donald Trump is saying two things. He is signaling that he will not surrender the black vote to Hillary Clinton, and he is also saying that he will not neglect evangelicals like Romney and McCain did. He understands the concerns of evangelicals. Many Christians of all races understand that this election is the last chance to stop the great unraveling of our country."
Presidential Debate Preview
It was announced Friday that Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace will moderate the third and final presidential debate. Wallace joined Eric with his reaction to the honor. "I'll be doing the third debate," he said, "and it will just be the three of us on the stage. There will be six 'buckets' or subjects, each one covering fifteen minutes. I'll try to facilitate a debate between the two candidates. It's up to me to decide the subjects and I'll do that after I see the first two debates and what's going on in the world at that time. There will be a mix of domestic and foreign policy issues."
Kaepernick Backlash
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who claims America 'oppresses' blacks, not only is sitting out the National Anthem before games, he has also worn socks that portray cops as pigs. Sports reporter Jim Gray entered the No Spin Zone with the latest on the story. "Last night in San Diego Kaepernick was greeted by boos," Gray said, "and all week he has been condemned on social media. The unfortunate thing is that in sports we now have to deal with domestic violence, drugs, child abuse, and now a racial divide. It used to be that two areas where Americans could come together were team sports and the military, but our divide is now spreading into sports. Wearing those socks was despicable and I blame the NFL for not taking leadership and saying this is our policy."
