Democratic Attorney General Barbara Underwood is suing to dissolve The Donald J. Trump Foundation and is seeking $2.8 million in restitution. The New York AG says that the Foundation "was little more than a checkbook for payments from Mr. Trump or his businesses to nonprofits, regardless of their purpose or legality." It is no accident that Underwood filed this lawsuit today. It was meant to cause a distraction from the Inspector General’s report and the progress that Trump made with Kim Jong Un at the summit earlier this week.
