"Senator Bernie Sanders is drawing big crowds and telling folks America should give them free stuff. Sanders, of course, is the nation's only socialist senator. And because old Bernie is doing so well with the entitlement line, we now have Hillary Clinton getting on the train, saying 'everyone who goes to a public college or university should be able to do that without having to borrow a penny.' Mrs. Clinton says her proposal for essentially free college tuition would cost an average of $35 billion a year. Talking Points believes that figure is from the Land of Oz and that it would cost far more than that, although I admit my opinion is speculation. What is not speculation is what Bernie Sanders wants to do: Free Medicare for all would cost $15 trillion over ten years. An increase in Social Security payments would cost $1.2 trillion. Guaranteed family leave, $319 billion. Tuition free schools, $750 billion. The freebies and programs Senator Sanders supports would cost the taxpayer $18 trillion over a decade! Obviously that's not fiscally possible unless the federal government begins seizing assets, which is certainly in line with the socialist philosophy. Free stuff is what the Democratic Party is promising in each and every election. That's what the party stands for these days - entitlements - and many Americans are buying into it, somehow believing the U.S. government owes them prosperity. So with Hillary Clinton now imitating Bernie Sanders, the country faces a very interesting scenario. Capitalism vs. socialism. We'll see what prevails."

The Factor engaged in a spirited, even heated, debate with Kirsten Powers over entitlements and the safety net. "Democrats believe people are entitled to certain things," Powers began. "They're entitled to health care and food, and what you call 'free stuff' are the actual necessities in life. There are kids in New York City who go all weekend without anything to eat until they eat in school. I know that because of the churches that I've worked with that serve those children." The Factor blamed much poverty on derelict parents: "If you look at the studies of poverty, most poor people in this country have computers and big-screen TVs and cars and air conditioning. This myth that kids don't have anything to eat is a total lie!" But Powers insisted, "There are people who work very hard and still can not make enough to have food for their children." The Factor ended the fiery segment with a direct challenge: "Bring in a family that can't feed their children and I will put them on the air. Find one!"

President Obama will visit Roseburg, Oregon on Friday to comfort the families of those killed in last week's mass murder. Some locals are less than thrilled with the visit, worrying that the president will use it to promote gun control. The Factor explored the issue with Douglas County Commissioner Chris Boice. "The president has been very clear," Boice said, "that he has an agenda about gun control. But our desire here is to support the families, and if he is truly coming to support the families, that would be great." The Factor gave President Obama the benefit of the doubt, saying, "I think the president will get the message and will not overtly politicize the visit on Friday."

Conservative Andrea Tantaros and liberal Leslie Marshall also opined on President Obama's impending visit to Oregon. "Many people in Roseburg don't want him there," Tantaros asserted, "and I don't think this is a good idea because everything the president does is political. He will politicize this within hours and minutes" But Marshall argued that the visit is entirely appropriate. "He is the leader of this nation and this nation mourns with those people. He is a father and a human being, and even if people don't respect him, they respect the office."

Since President Obama took office, his home town of Chicago has seen more than 3,000 killings, and last month, with 62 murders, was one of the bloodiest in Chicago history. The Factor asked legal analysts Lis Wiehl and Kimberly Guilfoyle about the spike in barbarism. "I called the Chicago police department today," Wiehl reported, "and they blame it on mandatory minimums that are too light. They say the bad guys are more afraid of other gangs than the police." Guilfoyle tried to put the bloodshed in frightening perspective. "There is one person shot every 2.8 hours, and the majority are between 21 and 29 years of age and black. The police lack the will to take illegal guns off the streets." The Factor blamed Mayor Rahm Emanuel and police leadership, declaring, "The police can stop it if they are given orders to stop it!"

The Factor welcomed documentarian Dennis Lynch, who has created a film that is harshly critical of immigration and President Obama. "The overall headline," he said, "is that President Obama said he would 'fundamentally transform America.' I've been saying for years that he has been doing that through illegal and legal immigration. President Obama has tried to make it sound like he is deporting more people than anybody else, but he has changed the definition of deportation. He's allowing everyone to come in because it changes the electorate and makes this a one-party system. We need a president who will come in and reverse the damage!"

Bernard McGuirk and Greg Gutfeld attempted to analyze the surging popularity of socialist Bernie Sanders, especially among many young people. "When you go to see Bernie Sanders," Gutfeld theorized, "it's like a sign of status and authenticity for a liberal. It's like hugging a tree while naked on Earth Day, it's saying to everyone that you are as left-wing as possible. And the golden rule of 'time passes' is that everything seems less evil as it ages. Socialism killed millions of people, but that was a long time ago, and he's like a fluffy teddy bear of socialism." McGuirk also mocked the 'Feel the Bern' fanatics. "The professors probably sent them out to the Bernie Sanders rally and gave them credit. The students started there and ended up throwing up on their shoes at 4 o'clock in the morning. And nothing screams 'progressive' more than a 74-year-old cranky white guy who is trying displace the first woman president. But he's honest, he wears his stuff on his sleeve." The Factor added, "Wait until Bernie Sanders' people discover that he loves guns!"

Daniel Johnson, Chicago, IL: "As a black conservative and NRA member, I disagree with your Talking Points, Bill. The Chicago police recently arrested a woman who did not have the proper paperwork for a concealed weapon."

Tom Peters, South Hamilton, MA: "O'Reilly, good argument on guns in Talking Points. But why not call the killers what they are: domestic terrorists?"

Philip Blustein, Beverly Hills, CA: "Mr. O'Reilly, you teased the Watters story on Dearborn, Michigan by saying the town was awash in Muslims. That shows you for the racist you are."

Joe Reichenberger, Monterey Park, CA: "The segment on Dearborn did more to help Muslims in America than all the rhetoric coming out of the White House."
