Jussie Smollett Dropped from Empire; Dems Back Reparations for Slavery Ahead of 2020

House will Vote on Blocking Trump’s National Emergency

Democrats in the House have introduced a resolution to block President Trump’s National Emergency, and will schedule a vote for Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.

If it passes the Democratic House, the Senate will be forced to vote on it, putting everyone on record. This could also lead to the first “veto” of Trump’s presidency.

Dems Back Reparations for Slavery Ahead of 2020

Senators Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren have both signaled that they support reparations for black Americans ahead of the 2020 election.

A report by the New York Times of all places outlines the movement for reparations. Senator Kamala Harris was asked whether she supported the idea on a podcast and later, and reaffirmed it to NYT:

"We have to be honest that people in this country do not start from the same place or have access to the same opportunities," Harris said in the statement to the Times.

"I’m serious about taking an approach that would change policies and structures and make real investments in black communities."

Senator Elizabeth Warren, who is likely finished because of her own issues surrounding race, has also said she supports reparations.

Bill talked about this on last night’s No Spin News:

“The two senators, they want reparations given to African-Americans for slavery - which would cost trillions of dollars if that ever happened, because every African-American would have to get reparations – every one. Every person can trace their ancestry back to abuse. It’s incredible. What about Native Americans? If you start down this road, you never stop you never stop.

Is that justice? It's pandering. I want you to be aware that that's coming down now - reparations by these nuts.”

Jussie Smollett Dropped from “Empire”

Fox announced on Friday that Jussie Smollett has been suspended from his role on “Empire” after he was accused of paying to men to attack him. His character will not appear in the final two episodes of this season.

“While these allegations are very disturbing, we are placing our trust in the legal system as the process plays out. We are also aware of the effects of this process on the cast and crew members who work on our show and to avoid further disruption on set, we have decided to remove the role of Jamal from the final two episodes of the season,” said a statement from 20th Century Fox Television that was attributed to the show's executive producers.

O’Reilly’s Latest Column: The Extreme Team

In this week’s column, O’Reilly outlines an interesting conversation he had with the president’s son, Donald Trump, Jr., about his father and the rank hostility surrounding him.

“I’m pretty damn conservative, but I have friends who are not.  I used to be able to say, okay, I can put myself in their shoes and I can argue their side of the deal and do it pretty effectively.  I can’t do that anymore, Bill.

“Post-term abortion, the black face (Virginia), there is no double standard they won’t blow out of the water.”

“ISIS Bride” – Dad Suing Trump to Let her back into U.S.

The lawyer for Hoda Muthana, who joined the Islamic State group in Syria and now wants to return to the U.S., says he has evidence she's a U.S. citizen.

U.S. officials contend that isn't a citizen and has no legal basis to travel to the U.S.

Her father is filing a lawsuit to get her back into the country.

Muthana "is willing to pay whatever debts she has to society” – even if it means serving a lengthy prison sentence, her family's lawyer told Fox News on Thursday.

Trump Team Sees Muller Endgame

Axios is reporting that President Trump’s team believes Robert Mueller will submit his report "imminently."

Muller’s team hasn’t spoken with Trump’ team in weeks, and many on Muller’s team have returned to their normal jobs. Once the repor is handed over, new AG Bill Barr will decide what will be made public – likely amid calls from Democrats to release the full report.

Bernie Goldberg’s Latest: Being a Liberal Journalist Means Never Having to Say You’re Sorry

In Chicago last year, 2948 people were shot; 561 were killed; almost all of the shooters and almost all of the victims were black.  And the national news media yawned.

This wasn’t their kind of story.  Black on black crime is not something that interests them.  And it’s not only because in too many big American cities, it’s all too commonplace, amounting to a dog bites man story.  No, there’s more to it than that.

Liberal journalists don’t like putting black people in a bad light, even if the black people in question are murderous thugs. White liberal guilt forbids it. Displaying good racial manners doesn’t allow it.  So, by and large, they look the other way.

And then the Empire actor Jussie Smollett comes along to give journalists the kind of story they crave:  a gay, black man minding his own business, just trying to get a sandwich on a bitter cold Chicago night, gets mugged by two white racists who put a noose around his neck and pour bleach on him while screaming racial and anti-gay slurs.
