We have reported that approximately 5 million foreign nationals have crossed into the United States since President Biden was inaugurated in January 2021.  That's a catastrophe.

There are two tracks here: the political and the moral.  On the policy front, the Biden administration has refused to enforce immigration law and that has encouraged people all over the world to come here without proper credentials. President Biden has violated his sworn oath to "uphold the laws of the United States."

For that, he could be impeached if Republicans win the House this coming November.

The second part of the problem is how to handle all these people.  The Trump administration sent many of the migrants back to Mexico.  The Obama administration deported record numbers to their home countries.

But now, Mr. Biden has decided that 5 million and counting migrants can reside here. Many of those folks need help.

Enter Catholic Charities, the lead organization helping settle undocumented foreign nationals.  Well, what did anyone expect that group to do?  Jesus stated quite clearly that the poor must be helped. Immigration was not a part of his moral mandate.

The problem is that Pope Francis and some other Catholic leaders ignore the legality issue - preferring to make the entire thing about morality.

A big mistake in a very complicated human matter.
