As Russia invades Ukraine, the corporate media and those on social media are looking for all angles on Vladimir Putin's move.
One sports angle that's become interesting is that of future Hockey Hall of Famer, Russian national and current NHL star Alexander Ovechkin, who plays in this nation's capital.
Ovechkin, a celebrated hockey icon in Russia, is being asked to comment on the crisis.
His family is in Russia while he plays in Washington and the team has yet to make him available, saying he's asking for more time before he comments.
