Spending the week in Washington is like going to an endless Thanksgiving dinner. Lots of chat, bloviating, posturing.

And ever since John and Abigail Adams took up residence in the White House, things have been this way here. Many, many meetings.

I am a man of many words, too many in the opinion of some, but I like to get my point across with some impact.  Run-on sentences are not my thing.  In some meetings, I even forget what the topic is! Talk is cheap in DC; everything else is expensive.

The town is definitely safer since President Trump brought in the National Guard and emasculated the local authorities, who have little interest in enforcing the law. There were three murders last week, but overall, the violence is down significantly.

Power is the product here, and the Trump administration is wielding it in a flamboyant way.  So far, the President is winning, but he has three long years left.

Obviously, anything could happen.

And when it does, Washington will talk about it.

See you this evening for the No Spin News.
