USA Today: Vice President Biden helped mark the end the American combat mission in Iraq on Tuesday, meeting with the country's leaders in Baghdad and pressing for an end to the political impasse that has delayed formation of a new government. "Notwithstanding what the national press says about increased violence, the truth is, things are still very much different, things are much safer," Biden said in comments to al-Maliki.
