Americans should be surprised by the misconduct accusations against Judge Kavanaugh. Every man in a position of power or wealth could be a target, and that is hurting America.
While each case should be taken seriously, each case should also be taken and assessed as a singular operation. It is not helpful to say you believe every accuser or you believe every person denying. You can’t do that.
In Kavanaugh’s case, it appears the woman has engineered a series of events in secret, and then a few days before the confirmation was to be okayed by the Judiciary Committee, they drop the bomb. That reeks of politics.
Kavanaugh is adamant he did not do it, and will attest to that under oath Monday.
Why would a sitting judge agree to do that full well knowing the consequences of lying under oath? He could go to prison if he lies!
The presumption of innocence is a hallmark of all our rights. We have to give that to Judge Kavanaugh and at the same time, be respectful to Dr. Blasey Ford.
