Donald Trump Unexpectedly Shifts Toward a Softer, More Serious Approach

Hillary Clinton up, Donald Trump down after a week that flipped the presidential campaign
Hey BillOReilly.com Premium Members. Welcome to the No Spin News on the 8th of June 2016.
So I got a lot of mail about the Krauthammer/O’Reilly debate. Look, Charles is paid to give his opinion, he does it in a very good way and I disagree with him on this issue. But I got a bunch of letters that said “well I’m not going to listen to Charles Krauthammer. I don’t want to hear what Charles Krauthammer has to say.”
That’s not smart.
You can disagree with Charles, but surely you know that the man is very intelligent. And surely you know that it’s healthy for you to hear points of view that might be opposite of your own.
The Kool-Aid drinkers are the people who stay in their precincts and refuse to even listen to anything else. If you become like that, you’re going to make mistakes in your life because there isn’t an ideology on Earth that’s perfect. Conservatives—they make mistakes.
Now, the main difference between Krauthammer and me, when it comes to Trump, is that he believes that Trump is not capable of being a good president. He believes that Trump doesn’t have the knowledge or the discipline to do the job. That’s Krauthammer’s sincere belief and he’s entitled to it.
I’m agnostic on that because I’ve never seen Trump in a political situation. So I cannot make that judgement that Charles has made. Therefore, my analysis of Trump is totally different. I do it on a what they call ad hoc— “to this” basis.
Whatever he does, I take it independently of what else he’s done, unless there’s direct linkage. So therefore I can look at the judge’s comment and know with certainty, 100%, that Trump didn’t get up in the morning and say “you know what, I’m going to denigrate a Mexican judge today because I don’t like Mexicans. That’s what I’m going to do.”
That did not happen.
Trump got frustrated with the judge, and if you have ever been in a proceeding that’s not unusual for Americans to get frustrated with a judge. Then Trump by extension said “you know what, he doesn’t like me because of my tough border policy and my immigration policy, and because he belongs to this Latino group that helps people in Southern California, I’m going to say that he can’t be fair because he’s got an agenda.”
And that’s what he did. That’s what Trump did.
Now, I don’t think that was a wise decision. Had I been advising Trump I would have said don’t go near it, because you can’t prove it. And the La Raza Lawyers Association isn’t La Raza, it’s a whole different thing. So don’t do it.
Trump realizes his mistake. That’s why he’s not going to talk about it anymore. However, it was a mistake that he made based on emotion. He didn’t like the judge’s ruling. Not based on racism. Does everybody understand?
So that when people argue that he is a racist, I think that’s cheap and I think that’s fallacious. And I say so.
When people argue that the Trump U. case, the entire case is not political, I almost laugh. If you knew the law firm involved with this, running up huge debt because they’re not charging, they’re taking it on a contingency, they don’t want to get a settlement…
If you knew who they were then you would have to agree with me.
They’re zealots. Democratic Party zealots. Now, that doesn’t extend to the judge. We don’t know about his politics, we checked and he’s clean. He doesn’t have any political agenda as far as we can see.
Schwarzenegger loves him. Cartels try to kill him. I don’t have any beef with the judge, and I’m not involved with the Trump U. case. That’s not what I do. I don’t know who did what to whom. I don’t know. But I do know that it might have an effect on the presidential election. And I do know that the whole thing is political. And that’s why I called for no whiff.
So I’m really happy with the way we presented this. I’m happy that Charles disagreed in the sense that it was a good segment and everybody’s talking about it. But I’m not happy if you guys don’t listen to Charles anymore because he doesn’t support Trump. I’m not happy about that.
You should always listen to dissent.
