Chelsea Clinton denies reports that she's mulling congressional run

Daily Mail: Chelsea Clinton is on the verge of launching her own political career with a run for Congress in 2012, it was claimed on Wednesday, but the Clinton camp has denied it.

Democratic congresswoman Nita Lowey, 74, has represented New York's 18th district since 1988 but is said to be considering retirement.

The 31-year-old daughter of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former president Bill, is 'actively considering' a Congressional run from New York State, according to the New York Daily News.

Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna said: 'This is 100% false. She is not running for Congress in the 18th District or any other.'
