Joe Biden, often wimpish, surprised me by standing up for US immigration law.  That separates him from most of the other dem candidates who want open borders and amnesty.  Of course, the CNN moderators, all democrats themselves, did not follow up so Biden was not able to advance the issue.  The CNN people also should have asked about Sanctuary Cities but did not.

    

As we predicted, Biden was attacked for the three million deportations that President Obama ordered - DeBlasio did that - and Cory Booker hit him on his support for tough crime laws.  No question that Biden is out of step with the ultra-liberal progressives.

    

The debate last night was not nearly as crazy as the socialists on Wednesday but did feature some anti-cop stuff and cheap racist accusations.  I thought Kamala Harris was flat and she took some heat from Tulsi Gabbard.  Nobody really broke out.
