A long time ago, 54 years ago to be exact, I spent my junior year in college at the University of London's Queen Mary College. Outstanding experience, one that my son is now duplicating at Oxford's Blackfriars Hall - one of the oldest colleges in Europe.

On Saturday, we walked around London, which, back in 1969, was the poster city for British culture. No longer. Today, 38 percent of those living in London are foreign-born. Many have not assimilated. They don't speak English and retain customs from their homelands.

For example, much of Mayfair, the oldest and most affluent part of London, is controlled by Saudis. If you take the tube to Mile End, where Queen Mary College is located, you will see a few traditional British expositions.

This is the vision the progressive left has for the USA: wipe out American traditions. They are bad, they say, built on racism.

That's what the open border is all about: ushering in millions of migrants under the banner of diversity. President Biden has completely bought into that concept.

If you criticize the open border situation, the far-left will call you a racist. That strategy is obviously designed to stop any dissent. But the debate over immigration is a good thing. Folks should know exactly what is going down.
