KSAZ-TV: A US federal judge said that he would rule before July 1 on a request by civil liberties groups to block a new Georgia law cracking down on illegal immigration. US District Judge Thomas Thrash was weighing Tuesday a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and others, who argue that the immigration law oversteps state authority and opens the door to racial profiling of Hispanics, Asians and other minorities.
