The Obama administration has released an additional 15 inmates from the prison at Guantanamo Bay, leaving just 61 suspected terrorists at the facility. Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, no fan of President Obama, denounced the plan to empty Gitmo. "There's a formal process," he explained, "which vets the prisoners and determines whether they are ready for release. But that wasn't quick enough, so President Obama now basically orders the releases. The president has brought tremendous pressure and he wants these prisoners gone. Up to one-third of them have gone back to the battlefield! Lincoln freed the slaves, Obama freed the terrorists!" The Factor contended that even suspected terrorists have a right to justice: "It is not just to keep someone in detention without a trial and the military has not been able to set up a tribunal system."
