President Trump chose to once again disparage the press yesterday at the pandemic briefing. He was highlighting the increased testing capacity of the USA and, as he usually does, was proclaiming our growing strength in this area as compared to other nations.

That gave the CBS News White House correspondent, Ms. Jiang, the opening she wanted to provoke the President by asking why he was keeping score while “people are dying.” 

Mr. Trump said the question was nasty, which it was, and then told the reporter to “ask China” about people dying.

Ms. Jiang took that as a racial slur and here we go.

I am so tired of this nonsense. The President should just state his case and let his press spokeswoman answer the questions.  There’s a lot of death.  It is largely China’s fault.  Fair-minded, intelligent Americans understand this.

Tonight, on the No Spin News, I will advance this story a bit further. But, again, this gotcha stuff is bad for the country.
