The Republican health care plan is under fire from the right. The Factor asked Karl Rove to explain conservative opposition to the proposal. "Some people don't want to have a replacement bill," he began, "they want to have a straight repeal. They want to kill the system entirely and take time to replace it entirely, but that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. There is also a principled objection to refundable tax credits for those who buy health insurance out of their own pockets." Rove theorized that President Trump is handling the issue properly. "He's doing this the right way, he's got Dr. Tom Price working with Republicans in the house to keep an open line of communication to critics. If that process goes forward, good things can happen."
