Last night on the No Spin News, you heard former Disney CEO Robert Iger tell Jon Stewart that some media companies do not hold employees responsible when they say irresponsible or dishonest stuff on television. Disney owns ABC.

Well, that is certainly true and the proof is the ABC News program The View. Wait. Didn't Bob Iger oversee that show for decades? Yes, he did. Did he hold any of the ladies responsible for saying false things? No, he did not.

Whoopi Goldberg got suspended after Iger departed.

Now, I do not believe Iger even understands how ridiculous he sounded on the Stewart broadcast. These moguls often live in a bubble surrounded by yes men and women, totally detached from reality. As long as The View made money, Iger's bubble was happy.

When Whoopi put forth that the Holocaust was not race-generated, she was simply "shooting from the lip" as they all do on The View. She didn't even realize what she was saying because to her - race is black-white - and the Holocaust was primarily about skin color.

The firestorm that followed forced Disney to take action but, believe me, they didn't want to.

When evaluating the ethical collapse of TV news it is important to remember that this is a top-down situation. The top managers are evaluated by how much money they bring in. And honest reporting and analysis is way down the list of priorities. So far down, the moguls rarely even think about it.

See you tonight on the No Spin News. We'll provide honest news analysis.
