Watched the debate. Didn't learn much. Questions from moderators were timid. Liveliest exchange between Chris Christie and Vivek Ramaswamy about Trump's situation. Other candidates avoided that.
The moderators blew it big time by not asking Pence about Trump's post-election deportment. Huge omission.
Pence not convincing about much. Christie somewhat petty. Haley is smart but predictable. Tim Scott impressed me; he needs more experience but would make a great running mate for Trump.
I'm glad Ramaswamy is in there because he shakes it up a bit. He has no chance.
DeSantis was good on crime but lacks emotion. He is running Florida well and has the most accomplished resume among the contenders with the exception of Pence, who I don't believe is connecting with GOP voters.
Trump was the winner last night. Maybe DeSantis has stopped the bleeding. Christie will get anti-Trump support.
Finally, the moderators tried but did not distinguish themselves. Tough gig, no question. Questions have to be sharp and short. They were not. More analysis posted on the site.
