Bloomberg Businessweek: BP Plc's well in the Gulf of Mexico is gushing as much as 60,000 barrels of oil a day, the government said, again increasing a figure officials put at 1,000 barrels more than seven weeks ago. The new estimate, with a range of 35,000 to 60,000 barrels a day, is more accurate because scientists used additional and better data, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said yesterday in a statement posted on the official spill-response website.
